@ 8:23 p.m. Today was the craziest, most terrible day at work so far. All the computers were down and I'm talking about all the computers in every branch of the credit union, plus the computers at the calling center (where I work) It made a normal day at my job seem absolutely blissful. With the computers down people called non-stop to complain. I had at least ten calls waiting on the switchboard to be answered at all times, and all I could do was answer them one by one and tell them we couldn't look up their accounts because the computers were down. Because the computers were down all day I had to stay until almost 6 o'clock helping post mail and catch up on work. I am supposed to be done at 4 but at least I'll get overtime pay. And it was cool how everyone in my department came together to get the work done. Today it started out cloudy then poured in the afternoon and the evening. I was stressed out from the day so I went for a power walk after dinner in the pouring rain. I'm really glad I exercised though. I have been making a good effort to get healthy lately. Time to go do some reading before the Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Gauntlet comes on. I can hardly stand to wait. Older Entries |
